One of the resources we are constantly developing is our Library. It is full of excellent books for students and staff. It includes encyclopedia, fiction and non-fiction books, dictionaries, biographies, audio-visual material, etc.

School Library enables the student to gain knowledge and inculcate in them sound reading habits. Students are encouraged to follow certain Library norms -

  • Silence is to be observed in the Library at all times.
  • The school maintains a library for the students from Class IV and above. Students of Class I to Ill will be given books to read in the class.
  • Students are not allowed to keep any book for more than 15 days, unless they are re-issued.
  • No books can be re-issued unless it is actually brought to school.
  • Books are issued for the use of borrower only.
  • Students are expected to take utmost care of Library books. Therefore, they should be examined by the borrower before leaving the Class or Library. If abook is damaged, the Librarian or the Class Teacher must be informed immediately. Damages sustained to the book while out of the Library will be laid to the borrower's account and he/she will have to make good the damage.
  • In case of absence, the Library book must be brought to school on the day when the student attends school.
  • Failure to return a book on the expiry of the period of 15 days will involve payment of fine of Rs. I 0/- per day (inclusive) of holiday and Sundays.
  • In case a holiday, the Library book should be submitted on the following class day.
  • No book will be issued unless the old one is returned.
  • A student must read at least IO books during the academic year.
  • Students should not exchange the school Library books issued on their card with other students.
  • Before asking for a new book, students must have their old book duly crossed in their Library card.
  • It is strictly forbidden to write any remark in the book. Writing of any kind in the books or even underlining of words is punishable with a fine. If there are any such marks in the books already, they should be shown to the Librarian or to the class teacher immediately on the receipt of the book and not later.
  • Reference books like Encyclopedia, Magazine, etc. will be issued only in the Library.
  • No student is allowed to bring his/her personal books, or bag in the Library. Only a note-book will be allowed, with the permission of the Librarian.
  • Students should maintain a Library record wherein they write a central idea of the book read.

To keep up with the fast changing communicative world today and to explore in depth the potential of a computer, we have a large, well equipped computer laboratory for our students, where each child is allotted a computer to learn and practice.

Music and singing are an integral part of the School's life. Singing lessons give everyone the chance to inculcate a love for Music. Students who are interested in learning various music instruments like the Violin, Guitar, Keyboard, Drums, etc. are provided with ample opportunity to do so. The School Orchestra gives the students ample opportunity to showcase their musical talents.

The teachers are well trained to make and use innovative teaching aids and to support teaching with the help of the Library, Smart Board and PowerPoint Presentation, etc. to enhance the learning process

Every activity sees a hundred percent student participation; this is to develop the student's oratory skills, physical skills, dramatic skills, dance skills, creative skills and to build up their confidence. The Cultural Programme, National Days & Activity Work, Talent Extravaganza, Language Days and the Sports Events, the Art Display Boards, Science Exhibition gives every students a platform to exhibit their skills and work.

The morning assembly is an essential beginning of the day. This serves as a platform for prayer, instill good values, news reading, enhance presentation skills, to convey important announcements and information, to motivate and encourage. Assemblies are based on a given Thought for the day and important National and International days and date.

Caring for the poor is a vital value taught to the students in their Value Education Class and at assembly time and it is a value that is practiced. Students are involved with various activities including giving to underprivileged children, visiting orphanages, old age homes and street shelters. The Bible says, 'The rich and poor have this in common; the Lord is the maker of them all. 'Social skills of courtesy, kindness, sharing and caring are inculcated from a young age and endorse in the classroom and in community service.
