Attendance and Leave
The academic year is from
April 2023 to March 2024.
Leave of absence will be granted for sufficient reason but only on application from parents or guardians concerned. Students absent without leave must bring from their parents or guardians a note of satisfactory explanation. Entries should be made in the schoolhandbook.
In case there is any infectious disease, parents should keep their child at home till the danger of infection has passed and student returning to school after suffering from such a disease should produce fitness certificate from a doctor.
Students who come late to the school and chose who have been absent on the previous days must obtain a letter of explanation from their parents. A prior permission is to be obtained from the Principal for any kind of leave, except in the case of sudden it health.
For prolonged ill health, the parents of the ward in question have to meet the Principal personally within
3 days.
They have to produce Medical Certificate justifying his/her absence along with the note on the School Handbook
No student will be granted leave without sending a leave application on the prescribed leave form.
No Student can leave the School premises without the permission of the Principal. Parents desiring to take their children during the School hours for genuine reasons should fill the EXIT PERMISSION page in the School Handbook.
THIS WILL BE GRANTED ONLY AFTER THE 4TH PERIOD. STUDENTS LEAVING EARLIER WILL BE MARNED ABSENT.
Persons other than parents who come to collect a student must carry an authorization letter and identification.
Keeping children at home for mere social functions like birthdays, feasts at relatives place, wedding of far away relations, etc., is not recommended because it retards the progress and minimizes their love for studies. Prior permission has to be obtained if you want to keep your child for such functions.
Absence from School for a Test / Examination will not be condoned, except in case of illness. The Principal has to be intimated on the same day, and a Medical Certificate will have to be submitted. The School does not conduct a retest or re-examination.
In all cases, sanction of leave shall be at the discretion of the Principal.
Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than 10 days renders the student liable to have his/her name deleted from the Roll. Re-admission in this matter will have to be sought.
Students are not allowed to leave the school during the class hours without getting permission from the Principal. In such cases, they shall have to obtain the permission slip from the school office.
All the students are required to be punctual and regular in attendance.
